This village, located 18 km north of Flic en Flac as the crow flies, has only been on the local tourist map since 2007 - the year a second Club Med was established in Mauritius after the one at Pointe aux Canonniers. Apart from this particularity which, overnight, led travelers to this part of the island, Albion remains a big authentic village, quiet and especially residential. If the public beach is pleasant, it is not among the most beautiful. The coastline is mostly rocky and jagged, bristling with small cliffs and a lighthouse that watches over the open sea, the only one of its kind still in activity.
