LAKAZ SANDRINE

Indian Ocean and Pacific cuisine restaurant

It's hard to imagine a more charming setting: on one side, the pretty red-roofed chapel of Cap Malheureux, right in front of the intense turquoise of the lagoon, with a view of Coin de Mire island off the coast. KANACO

Indian Ocean and Pacific cuisine restaurant

Open since 1984, and run by the colorful Deva and his charming family, it is, as the guestbook testifies, a local institution frequented even by ministers! The setting is as simple and rustic as a large fisherman's hut, and the success is based on the kindness of the owners combined with the quality of the produce and the tasty dishes prepared just like home! The restaurant is best known for its fish and seafood specialities, depending on what's available. No wine, but beers and house-arranged rum.
