It's a tavern with the soul and generosity of its name: popular, friendly, no-fuss like a big family pot. The dishes are simple, the flavors are local (croquettes, samoussas, fried mines, upside-down bowls, pizzas, grilled fish, etc.), the prices are Mauritian and the atmosphere is perky like that of a guinguette with notes of séga in place of the accordion. Musical on certain weekends in high season, this is a long-established restaurant that attracts many holidaymakers to the North.

Affordable food. Friendly service. You didn't have to wait long for the food. We ate here several times and the quality of the food varied depending on which portion you ordered. We drank house wine and homemade flavored rums. I can recommend this place. for the price-quality ratio

Et lesi plats nous ont été servi à peine la commande passée
Aucune saveur je ne sais si j ai mangé du poisson ou autre chose tellement ce n était pas bon

Un de nos meilleurs souvenirs de resto sur Maurice. Cuisine sans chichis mais savoureuse à souhait, carte fournie, ambiance cool à la mauricienne, patron super gentil. Adresse à suivre quand on reviendra sur l'île!

Arrêt imprévu à La Marmite le soir de Divali.
Il restait une table de libre en extérieur par chance!
Ce restaurant est très "coté" dans ce secteur, pensez à réserver !
Belle carte avec pas mal de plats proposés ,même les langoustes !
Nous avons passé un agréable moment en terrasse (assez petite)
Malgré le monde ce soir là, le serveur à toujours été à notre écoute.
Plats généreux et addition très modeste
