It is the oldest Buddhist monastery in Singapore which means "twin groves of Lotus Mountain". It has been classified as a historical monument since 1980. The overall structure consists of three buildings and three courtyards, reproducing the architectural model of the square courtyard houses of southern China. Here live about twelve monks and a few nuns, who will be delighted to take you on a tour of the owner's house. But a small donation will be welcome.
