Roti with chicken or duck, with potatoes or vegetables, or with egg or liver, complete roti or vegetarian roti... And also bami, nasi or chicken-fried roti, you'll be spoilt for choice! The food is tasty, the dining room and the owners' welcome very friendly, but the portions are a little more meager than at Roopram. Yet some people prefer this address for roti. Between the two, there's stiff competition for the title of best roti in town, so it's up to you to decide!

Very warm welcome with explanations of the menu. The Surinam roast are famous and very good at Joosje, though are spicy enough. The dining room is one without décor. At Roopram (the other restaurant with roast, in the same style, but less friendly and also less spicy), the inhabitants and regular visitors of Paramaribo know the place and get there because it is very good.
