A scientific and historical visit in an authentic setting, where you can follow in the footsteps of miners.

Equipped with boots, a raincoat and a helmet, come and discover this mining treasure still accessible to the general public; a journey back in time is guaranteed through 250 m of secure galleries, on two levels separated by ladders. The smells, the darkness: it's all there! From Gallo-Roman times to the present day, the Rodde mine has been mined for its silver, lead and antimony. Remember to bring good shoes.

Lors de la visite on apprend comment la mine a été creusée, à quelles époques et pourquoi. On avance dans des petits tunnels ( d'où le port de casque de sécurité) avec parfois de l'eau au niveau du sol. On emprunte des échelles pour passer de la première galerie à la deuxième. On reste environ 30 minutes sous terre.
La visite dure environ 1h00.
C'est instructif et l'avancement dans les tunnels et amusant même si un peu sportif, on est souvent baissé.
