Castara is a must if you want to immerse yourself in the Tobago way of life. This small village boasts a superb beach with a lagoon of turquoise water, white sand and coconut palms. Here, the days unfold in an indolent slowness, punctuated only by the powerful vibrations of reggae escaping from a few sound systems. On the main beach, seine fishing is still practiced and, every day, the small community of Rasta fishermen continues to gather, chat and even smoke a joint next to the faded building of the fishing cooperative, with almost total indifference to the visitors who stroll by.
