Vieillevie is a charming commune situated in the south of Cantal, built on the banks of the Lot and around a castle. Coming to Vieillevie by the valley or by the heights of the surrounding hills can admire the magnificent landscapes of the Lot valley. Its relatively low altitude (220 m) provides a mild and pleasant climate. This micro-climate favours the coustoubis, for the early of their fruit and maraichères cultures and sometimes even wine. A party dedicated to cherry and all its derivatives (clafoutis, syrup…) takes place every year in June. Vieillevie has a canoe-kayak base to be able to take exit on the Lot.
