By public transport or private car, Soná is a must on the way to Santa Catalina. Located south of the Pan-American Highway, 1 hour from Santiago, this town of 10,000 inhabitants is the center of a dynamic agricultural region, producing milk and rice among other products. Despite its bustling commercial life, Soná is of little tourist interest, except perhaps to fans of the TV series Prison Break (one episode of the series takes place here...).
