Some call it Dubai Dubai, because of its more than 50 stories that have grown like fungi in recent years. Welcome to Panamá, City or Ciudad… Your discovery of the country will probably begin with this modern, tropical, lively and cosmopolitan capital. Anarchic traffic, giant billboards, pallaradant buses, deafening alarms and hammers… an exhausting and tiring capital, but will capture you!The Ciudad, as the Panamans call it, is surprising. The ambience and non-chalement ambience blend with it. On the viaduct that straddles the bay to connect the ruins of the «old-fashioned» colonial town to Punta Paitilla's malls and skyscrapers, the 4 x 4 rents to the tinted windows race with the untouched taxis. In the air, butterflies and hummingbirds dance between elegant glass towers as in the thick tropical forest of Metropolitan Park or Mount Ancón. As for the pelicans, they prefer to fly over the Cinta Costera which runs along the bay, to reach the colonial center on its peninsula.Casco Antiguo (or Casco Viejo) is one of the most beautiful historical districts of Central America. This jewel to the eclectic architecture was inscribed on UNESCO's list of world heritage in 1997. From its ramparts, the view is remarkable, towers of modern vile, at the elegant bridge of the Americas, passing through the Causeway Islands. In the sea haze, we guess the silhouettes of the ships that wait before entering the nearby canal. The atmosphere of Santa Ana, the contiguous neighborhood is just as enchanting. In Avenida Central, a pedestrian (Peatonal), you will find a sampling of all the origins, colors and musics of the country. This long store of stores, where music is omnipresent, goes down to Place 5 of Mayo where a few «red diets ╩» still pass. So go on board one of these old "graffed" buses in bright colors before they disappear from the urban landscape, this is the best way to learn the name of the major axes of the capital that will soon be familiar to you: Vía España, Calle 50, Calle ↑ 12, Transístmica, Panamá Viejo…
