Classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, Tournemire richly deserves this quality label. Around the 13th century Romanesque church, the 14th and 15th century houses, with their tufa stone walls and slate roofs, make Tournemire one of the most representative villages of Cantalien architecture. The Romanesque church can be visited every morning except Sunday. You can admire a 17th century bas-relief representing Christ at the tomb. The village stretches to the castle of Anjony (named after the rival owner family of Tournemire), a magnificent building perched on a steep rock overlooking the valley
