Beach famous for its waves, located between Punta Cancun and Punta Nizuc, where there are big hotels.

Playa Ballenas located between Punta Cancún and Punta Nizuc is an open sea area. It is famous for its waves that will attract surfers. There are also strong currents, so it is recommended to follow the warnings of the security staff; not ideal for families with children. The beach is far from the crowds and therefore rather quiet. There are large hotels (Secrets The Vine and Hard Rock), bars with palapas to shelter from the sun, as well as changing rooms, toilets and showers. On the other hand, no whale on the horizon!
