Between downtown and the beach. Sabine ran a brasserie in France for many years before selling everything to create Al Pasito with her son Léo. They have succeeded in creating a hippie chic atmosphere, a bohemian place that is reminiscent of the early days of Las Terrenas! The atmosphere is particularly warm and the service friendly. Finally, the cuisine is just like the place, original and well done. Tip: let yourself be tempted by the chicken with green curry sauce, it's a real delight! Good cocktails.

Ghislaine and Thierry serve seafood specialities such as cassolette, tuna tataki and excellent stuffed crabs, as well as a trio of mini burgers with caramelised onions, some good pasta dishes and ravioli. The ideal address to have lunch with your feet in the sand! Sacha and his father bought the oldest hut of Las Terrenas to make of it one of the addresses impossible to circumvent of the corner. The decor is magical, fine sand and Caribbean sea, sea breeze and coconut trees... The dishes are good and copious (they make the best pizzas, according to some), and the atmosphere is friendly. You can eat on the sand, on plastic tables, or on the covered terrace, all dressed in blue. A sure value for an excellent quality-price ratio.

The speciality of the house is the meat, certified Black Angus and cooked on a wood fire. Everything on the menu is excellent, from the Thai beef salad to the sea bream ceviche, not forgetting the sea cazuela with beurre blanc... Special mention for the chef's chocolate mousse! Big friendly wooden tables and a nice bar sheltered under its cana roof, the place is nice and proposes one of the best meat of Las Terrenas. It serves daily cuisine, mixed salads, grilled meats (don't miss the Sunday pig, cooked on the spit, in season!) and fish, with even a fondue bourguignonne. Alex, the chef from Lyon, and Angie, the Colombian manager, both of whom have been based in Las Terrenas for some time, decided to set up on their own. And they were right to do so, as the restaurant is a great success. In this restaurant, the menu changes every day, depending on the arrival of the sea. On the menu: ultra-fresh produce, truffle squash, beef fillet, risotto, ceviche flambéed in pastis, tataki and much more. In 2019, Alex had already been awarded as Lyon's youngest gourmet chef. It is to two French friends that we owe this creperie of Las Terrenas. The history of the sign begins in a food truck of Santo Domingo. At that time, one of the two friends, Marseillais, used to call his associate Victor "hey blond". So much so that the term stuck! All of this is washed down with a good wine and served either indoors or on the terrace in a small shady garden. A classic to be discovered in a setting as neat as it is elegant.

This is a good Italian restaurant that stands out in the region's culinary landscape. The Italian community often comes here (a guarantee of quality?), but tourists and local residents also come to enjoy this tasty Mediterranean cuisine. The main reason for coming here is to enjoy the pasta dishes (they are homemade and really excellent!). At the risk of being disappointed, you won't find any pizzas here. This is a trattoria, in the strictest sense of the word. Worth the detour.

Excellent address, the feet in the sand and in front of a resplendent sea. The motto of the house: "Las Terrenas, like 40 years ago"! Behind the stoves, Sarah, a talented chef who works from this small hut facing the sea and in the middle of fishermen's boats. Her cuisine is delicious, fresh and of Latin inspiration. Colorful plates, with a specialty, raw fish, which is displayed on the slate. A must during your stay in Las Terrenas. Best piña colada of the village! Jose and Cantuta are at the service!

It is the meeting place of the French and the amateurs of petanque! The place is indeed equipped with three grounds of balls and it reigns there a sympathetic atmosphere, the feet in the sand... At sunset, Thierry takes charge of animating the evening by making his guests dance on rhythms other than the merengue and the batchata. For the anecdote, Thierry worked 10 years at Pernod Ricard before settling here. On the kitchen side, he proposes among others oysters from the Arcachon basin but also an excellent fish cassolette!

It's with joy and good humor, and a big, infectious smile to boot, that we're welcomed by the managers of La Ola. The little Mediterranean-style wooden straw hut faces the sea and enjoys a delightful sea breeze. Seafood is the order of the day, as are some very French specialties. The menu, on a slate, changes regularly and depends on the catch of the day. All this for unbeatable value for money. As you can see, this is a highly recommended stop-off in town.

Away from the city center, the setting is enchanting, all wood and shells. Exceptional wine cellar, local and Peruvian cuisine, inventive and fresh based on fish and seafood of the day combined with beautiful variations of salads and other small elegantly presented plates. The place is also a beach bar during the day, and we can only recommend the chef's caipirinha, to be sipped on a deckchair or seated in a comfortable beach chair facing the calm waves of the exclusive beach of El Portillo.

Zu Ceviche and Grill offers a cuisine halfway between Dominican specialties and more Spanish flavors. However, it is the raw fish preparations (well, cooked in lemon/lime) that are unanimously appreciated: the ceviche is king here! It must be said that the restaurant is literally stuck to the fish market. It's hard to imagine anything fresher than this! As for the atmosphere, it is rather relaxed, with a surfer/hippie tendency. Don't hesitate to talk to Alex, the friendly owner!

This friendly restaurant is run by Alisson and Lara, two young, dynamic sisters who grew up in Las Terrenas from the age of 2 months and 2 years respectively. They know the town better than anyone, and warmly welcome you to their "little corner", which translates from El Yarabi in Taïno. On the menu are their famous tartines, revisited salads, pastries and homemade desserts. A regular address for passers-by and locals alike. So don't hesitate to spend some time at "les sisters", as they're known in the area!

Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Las Terrenas. This beautiful Italian restaurant focuses on the sea. The vast service room is very elegant - a tribute to the three caravels aboard which Christopher Columbus and his crew discovered Hispaniola, blending tribal art and maritime frescoes - while on the plate, you'll find a fine menu that honors fish, but also offers excellent grills and other more innovative dishes like the excellent egg-coconut with sea urchin cream. Don't forget to make a reservation - it's often full!
