Located more than 700 meters above sea level, Polo Magnetico, a highland municipality, is known for its organic coffee production, enjoying the perfect soil and climate conditions to create a rich, dark blend that is exported abroad. The first weekend in June marks the end of the coffee harvest. The farm workers in and around the Bahoruco region have been celebrating this event since 2004 on the last weekend of October with a big party where they have fun and dance while drinking lots and lots of coffee!
