Boca de Chavón, a small and quiet fishermen's hamlet established at the mouth of the Chavón River, is neither lacking in charm nor in tropical languor. The dirt streets are lined with brightly colored Creole houses, the inevitable colmados , more or less well-stocked, where you can always find a cold beer and billiard rooms to meet with friends around a green carpet. At the mouth of the river, you can see many natural caves once inhabited by the Tainos. Excursions are organized on the river in small motorboats. It takes about 5 km on a good track to reach the village.
