Cumayasa is a quiet hamlet on the banks of the river, very close to the sea. This modest village, isolated at the end of the track, is seldom visited by tourists, except to visit the cave that lies precisely between the Soco and Cumayasa rivers. It is well signposted, with an impressive arch at the entrance. This geological formation, formed of successive vaults adorned with millennia-old stalagmites and stalactites, was discovered in 1926 and named the Cueva del Jagual, then the Cave of Wonders in 1949. It has recently been refurbished with 850 m of galleries, complete with lighting, access ramp and steps.
