The Festival Presidente - named after the national beer - is a major Latin music event held in the capital.
Formerly the Latin Music Festival, it has since taken the name of its main sponsor: Festival Presidente. Big names in Latin and international music - Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin and Justin Timberlake were present for the 2017 edition - perform for several days in Santo Domingo. Beware, the festival does not take place every year (a priori every two years), check on www.presidente.com.do. A festival not to be missed if by chance your travel dates coincide with those of the festival.
