Watered by the eastern trade winds, the landscapes of the Palm Plain are greener, lush and generous... and the cooler temperatures allow European trees to grow there. Its name comes from the tree from which the terminal bud, cabbage or palm heart, is removed to eat it in a salad or hot dish.
