One of the most beautiful villages in France. A favorite fishing village, it has lost none of its Creole authenticity. With its mythical pontoon jutting out into the turquoise sea, topped by a wooden bell tower, the little commune with its many coves lives happily ever after, with its colorful houses and magnificent seabed. To the north, Grande Anse and its long beach lined with small bars and restaurants are always busy, while to the south of the town, the peaceful Petite Anse is a fishermen's haven. Between Les Anses-d'Arlet and Les Trois-Ilets, the steep coastline offers some of the island's finest panoramic views. The Edenic bay, sparkling beach, palm trees lying on the sea and bougainvillea lining the road attract Martiniquais and holidaymakers alike in a family-friendly atmosphere. The program includes swimming in the calm, clear waters, diving competitions from the pontoon, and snorkeling in the small spot known as the Aquarium, just a few fathoms from the beach. Here you'll come across a fine sample of Martinique's fish and coral. After swimming and relaxing, stroll through the village and have a drink in one of the many lolos on the beach near the cemetery. Everything here is so charming: the beautiful bell tower of Saint-Henri church, the Creole huts housing the Aimé-Césaire library or the police station (not to be missed at the entrance to the village)...
