Rustic houses are scattered in all the shaded corners of the Far North. The old path, the Trace, slides in tight laces towards this flowery village of bougainvilleas and golden trumpets called Fonds-Saint-Denis. Here you are in the world of  summits, whistling rufous-throated solitaires, chasms, and rivers. This small town is worth a visit for its church built at the end of the 19th century, the solitary seismic observatory of the Morne des Cadets, and especially the beautiful walks that escape from it. The commune also offers an incomparable view of the mountain and the sea by catching up with the road to Saint-Pierre.
