Situated in the heart of the Cantalian chestnut grove, Mourjou, a charming and peaceful little village, is now famous for its Chestnut Fair. Its church, beautifully restored, dates from the 16th century. It surprises today by the original shape of its bell tower and by its interior paintings in yellow tones. The highest point of the village is at Puech-Capel - 680 m - where there is a pretty little chapel and from where you can see the Cantal and Aubrac mountains. Ask the "Mourjouvistes" to show you the way to the ruins of the ancient city of Méallet, good discovery!
