LES MAÎTRES DE LA PAGAIE

Off the coast of Kourou, Les Maîtres de la pagaie is a frenetic traditional pirogue race that attracts several thousand spectators over 2 days every year, usually in late October or early November. Numerous events and races take place on Kourou's Bois Chaudat lake. On the water, aboard traditional 12-meter-long pirogues, the paddlers put their heart and soul into the race, while on land, local craft stands and activities enliven the site. A show not to be missed, celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2023!
