In a lounge atmosphere, customers, who tend to be regulars, can enjoy a wide choice of cocktails, from the most basic to the most surprising. Tip: when the cinema is open, so is the ice cream parlour on the second floor!

Weekday theme nights include kizomba on Tuesdays, bachata on Wednesdays, salsa on Thursdays, karaoke or theme nights on Fridays and concerts on Saturdays. The Etablissement Public de Coopération Culturelle (EPCC) les Trois Fleuves is a recent structure that aims to highlight and put into perspective Guyana's cultural wealth, in the fields of live performance and the visual arts, while offering a rich and varied program from all over the world. Numerous shows and exhibitions are organized every month. By visiting the EPCC website, you'll be able to find out about upcoming shows in town, as well as buy a ticket.

A must when you're passing through, for a drink with your feet in the sand, in a relaxed atmosphere. Music-wise, there's a little bit of everything, but mostly electro and current hits. Numerous armchairs made from salvaged materials are set around a truck painted in warm colors, giving the place that bohemian je-ne-sais-quoi. On request, Zoukouyanyan also organizes storytelling walks, evening performances, courses and workshops. A legendary venue for Cayenne's paré-masqué dances (this institution has existed since 1956), located in the city center, Le Soleil Levant (the establishment is also known as Chez Nana) is first and foremost known to carnival dancers: it's here that touloulous go on weekends during the carnival season to dance until the wee hours of the morning. Also known as the "University of the Rising Sun", it's THE temple of Guyana's carnival!

A cosy lounge bar where you can enjoy a cocktail in the lounge area or on the terrace. There's a wide choice, including some twenty different cocktails with or without alcohol, twenty types of rum and just as many beers (including some fine Belgian labels), some forty whiskies and a wide selection of champagnes. On karaoke nights, the bar is packed and the atmosphere is electric. On other evenings, the atmosphere is more serene and intimate.

The Hitbox is Cayenne's coolest bar for lively evenings out, on the terrace listening to a concert, or inside playing table soccer (free and open access) and 2 consoles with Fifa and Mario Kart at your disposal! The bar offers a wide range of cocktails. On Tuesdays, for example, it's Jam night, but check the online program to find out what you like. After 11pm, the band clears the space and you can dance on the dance floor. If you don't like crowds, opt for weekday evenings.
