Hiking trail through tropical vegetation from the Duportail forest road to the Basse-Terre massif.
A 6.5 km hike in the middle of tropical vegetation starting from the Duportail forest road which crosses the Basse-Terre massif from East to West. The route was once used by tobacco, rum and spice smugglers... in the 19th century, as its name suggests! The walk is not for everyone as it is quite demanding. Stay alert, because landslides have already occurred on this trail. Arrived on the spot, the panorama is superb!
