Val-Cenis is a new commune of the Vanoise National Park, created in 2017 by grouping the former communes of Bramans, Sollières-Sardières, Termignon, Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis and Lanslevillard. It is important to be aware that it is therefore a vast territory and to know well where you are going when you want to visit Val-Cenis, because you would quickly make miles. It has become one of the largest communes in France. Its chief town and its town hall are located in Termignon. On its territory are the Val Cenis ski resort as well as the Mont Cenis pass (closed in winter), the Iseran pass (closed in winter) and the Mont Cenis. This vast municipality is labeled "Station Verte" and is a member of the "Perles des Alpes" network...In Termignon : you will find the church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption and the chapel of Notre-Dame de la Visitation, both registered as historical monuments, but also the chapels of Saint-Roch and Saint-André.In Bramans : you will find the Saint-Pierre d'Extravache church (classified as a historical monument), the baroque church of the Assumption. The Vallon de Savine and the Col Clapier are supposed to be the places where Hannibal Barca passed through.In Sollières-Sardières : you can find the Rocher, known as des Balmes, and the Balmes cave, sites registered as historical monuments, the churches Saint-Laurent de Sardières and Saint-Étienne de Sollières, the monolith of Sardières, the relay of the Chappe telegraph, at the site of Mollard-Fleury, the archeological museum of Sollières-Sardière, the aerodrome of Sollières-Sardières, and the Bellecombe point.In Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis : you will find the church of the Assomption-de-la-Vierge, the church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption, the Fort de Ronce near the pass of Mont-Cenis.In Lanslevillard: there is the church of Saint-Michel, classified as a historical monument, and a dozen classified chapels: chapel Saint-Antoine, chapel Sainte-Anne, chapel Saint-Roch, chapel of the Madeleine, chapel Saint-Etienne, chapel Sainte-Agathe, chapel Saint-Genix, chapel Saint-Pierre and the bridge over the stream of Arcelle Neuve, chapel Saint-Laurent, chapel Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette, chapel Saint-Jean-Baptiste, chapel Saint-Sébastien... One can also discover the Stone with cupules known as Stone of Chantelouve, the Stone with the Feet, a white rock engraved with many cupules.
