This basilica remains one of the most remarkable Romanesque buildings of Haute-Auvergne.

Built at the end of the 11th century, the church was consecrated a basilica by the Pope in 1846. It remains one of the most remarkable Romanesque buildings in Haute-Auvergne. Its austerity brings out even more its magnificent portal with five arches surmounted by a tympanum showing the Ascension of Christ. incontournable à Mauriac
Bel édifice, cette basilique de pur style roman auvergnat avec ses pierres massive mérite l'arrêt pour la photo, ne pas manquer de détailler son clocher typique du cantal (vous le retrouverez souvent dans les villages alentour.).
