This is a cross-border itinerary on a very beautiful course that offers magnificent panoramas, including the Mont-Blanc massif. Between Valle de la Tarentaise and Valle d'Aosta, from La Rosière, on the D1090, it will be necessary to start by taking the direction of the Col du Petit-Saint-Bernard (8 km of climb for 350 m of altitude difference). After the pass, a long descent leads you to La Thuile in Italy, then Pré-Saint-Didier. Take the SS26 towards Aosta to Morgex and then towards Col San Carlo. In Morgex, a small (Italian) coffee will be well deserved, or a delicious gelato! After crossing the San Carlo pass, we continue on to the descent to La Thuile, after which we will take the SS26 towards the Petit-Saint-Bernard pass (14 km of ascent for 750 m of altitude difference) then we will descend to reach La Rosière.
