Le Falgoux is built on a terrace on the side of the glacial valley of Mars, at the foot of the puy Mary. You will see the picturesque site of the valley forming a cirque occupied by the "abbey wood" or "Mary wood" of an area of 700 hectares. The village is characterized by the typical architecture of the Haut-Cantal with its thick stone walls and sloping roofs to let the snow slide. It is possible to practice cross-country skiing or, in summer, to go for walks in the surroundings. It is a perfect stage on the GR 400. The summit of the Suc de Ron offers a splendid 360° view. It is also a very popular area for trout fishing
