Easily and quickly accessible from Lyon, between the Rhône and the Monts du Lyonnais, Taluyers is already on the heights, offering a few hillsides to the Lyonnais wines that flourish on this lovely terroir. The beautiful 12th-century Romanesque church of Notre-Dame, with its octagonal Cluniac bell tower - the same as that of Lyon's Ainay basilica - and stained glass windows, as well as a restored former priory. Numerous walks on signposted trails through the vineyards to discover, for example, what remains of the Roman aqueduct of the Gier, whose only visible vestige (it crosses the commune of Taluyers in a trench) is a manhole located on private property.
