This pretty village is considered the capital of brouilly. Since 1988, it has been the "International City of Vines and Wine", a prestigious title awarded by the International Wine Office to only a hundred or so sites in the world. In addition to its castle, several manor houses and beautiful residences underline the prosperity that the vine has conferred on it. Château des Ravatys houses a laboratory of the Pasteur Institute and cellars where some of the wines have been aged for more than fifteen years. A beautiful 2.5 hour walk of about 8.5 km (circuit n°1) to be done on foot from the Espace des Brouilly.
