Between Lyon and Mâcon, Saint-Georges-de-Reneins is a beautiful commune, whose territory is made up of a large number of hamlets on the banks of the Saône which separate it from the Ain. Pleasant walks along the river. Former Romanesque monastic church listed as a historical monument, which has retained its apse and its massive 11th century bell tower. The park of the Château de Laye, built by the d'Epinay family in 1760, is classified as a remarkable garden. On the banks of the Saône, the wet meadows constitute, with the Boistray marsh, a remarkable ecological reserve. Five signposted hiking trails to discover the magnificent landscapes.
