A typical Beaujolais village whose vineyard, Régnié, was the last to become a cru; in 1989. The result of the 1973 merger of two neighbouring communes, Régnié and Durette, this pretty village produces all the Régnié wine, except for a few parcels belonging to Lantignié. The first glimpse of Régnié-Durette surprises with the Saint-Jean-Apôtre church, from the end of the 19th century, and its two symmetrical bell towers. The work of Pierre Bossan, architect of the Basilica of Fourvière in Lyon, it is in the Romanesque-Byzantine style. Original tours are organised with wine tasting at the Cru Régnié cellar and a visit of the building at nightfall.
