LA VOGUE DES MARRONS
Go there and contact
The Vogue des Marrons, a popular funfair, has been held at the Croix-Rousse for over 173 years. For families and lovers alike.
Fête des Marrons rhymes with tradition. Lyon's most popular festival was born in 1851 - almost 175 years ago - to liven up the Plateau. For a month and a half, the Croix-Rousse is alive with bumper cars, haunted houses, caterpillars and candy stalls that take us back to childhood. A Vogue - synonymous with a funfair if you're not fluent in Lyonnais - where young and old love to wander the aisles and smell the perfumes of yesteryear. And we can't wait to taste the pommes d'amour and marrons chauds (hot chestnuts) that are part of a festival that's in the hearts of every Lyonnais. The festival ends around 9pm on weekdays and goes on until 11pm at weekends.
Hélas de plus en plus de monde. Il faut y aller hors week-end ou le matin des week-ends.
Attire beaucoup de monde et hélas l'insécurité y est grandissante ( de nombreux problèmes dans le quartier).
