If it is in the old pots that the best soups are made, it is certainly in the Old Fours that the best bread is cooked! A genuine artisan bakery in the tradition of the true French bakery, making its breads according to ancestral gestures with quality meals. As its name indicates, the Old Four is not a "New bakery" where the decoration counts more than the quality of the products. François Buffet, the nice boss of the places, and his team always prefers to highlight the excellence of their breads or their wonderful pies (praline, sugar, fruits…) and that is so much better! What a pleasure to cross the door of this bakery where you can see the baker in good morning activity to smell the smell of cooking. A pleasure that is complemented by the adorable reception that one receives at each of our visits, when one chooses its bread of the day: Classic breads and special breads, with cereal bread and another remarkable countryside. Happiness does not stop in the breads and extends with the famous pies, but also with sandwiches composed of fresh products (including, to our taste, the best ham/butter in Lyon). Do not forget to leave with a brioche to chocolates made according to an ancestral recipe. One of the smartest addresses.

Je suis allé aujourd’hui dans cette boulangerie plutôt pas mal avec du choix. Je tombe ce matin sur un jeune homme qui n’écoute pas le client, et qui me fait payer une boîte pour mes tartes à hauteur de 10 Cts . Je trouve cela inacceptable car c’est inclus dans le prix de vente pour la boîte . J’ai demandé à m’entretenir avec le patron pour échanger sur ce point. Je n’ai jamais vu cela dans une boulangerie et le caissier m’a clairement dit que les boites étaient chères ! Commercialement cest inacceptable !!
On m’en met pour 4,80.
Juste surprise, je lui fais part de mon étonnement puisqu’il est indiqué 3,70€.
La vendeuse me dit alors qu’il faudrait couper une bugne pour ce prix là, me demande si je veux en enlever.
Je lui répond que non, juste étonnée de payer plus puisqu’il est affiché un prix que l’on ne respecte pas… “est ce que vous avez compris ce que je dis ?” Me répond elle….. Oui, j’ai bien compris, je parle juste d’un principe : on affiche un prix on le respecte, c’est ça être commerçant. La manière de s’adresser à des clients ainsi est limite. C’est tout ce que j’ai à dire de cette boulangerie.
