Chez Carlo is part of our gourmet landscape, since it was the very first pizzeria to open in Lyon in 1958. And although the façade has been embellished and modernized, Chez Carlo still offers a picturesque decor, with rooms on either side of a traboule. From the terrace to the rooms, as warm as the service, Chez Carlo offers a home-style cuisine full of flavors, with famous pasta with summer white truffles, Milanese escalope with French veal, the chef's pasta or risotto with saffron and scallops, not forgetting the unmissable artisan wood-fired pizzas or coffee tiramisu. We had two pizzas, they came roughly in the size of 30cm diameter but perhaps a bit smaller. The pizzas were rather fluffy. Taste was really good and the spicy oil was a nice supplement. Overall, I can recommend this place. Considering the price, I'd perhaps ask for a slightly bigger pizza. The staff was nice. Upon request, the pizzas can be veganized.

Pizza truffe au goût d’emmental. Affreuse. Signalé et rien a été fait. Dernière fois dans cette « institution». Chose que j’ai préciser au personnel à deux reprises. Aucun geste simplement sur ce sera remonter … ma foi. Fuyez !
