Not far from Lyon, served by a TER link, at the entrance of the Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées and the Azergues Valley, Lozanne has been inhabited for a very long time, since the remains of a prehistoric station and those of a Roman villa have been found on the municipal territory. Lozanne is a strategic place to cross the Azergues and has several bridges and footbridges. Next to the current bridge, one can see an arch from the 12th century. The Romanesque church, with its 13th century bell tower, is dedicated to Saint-Maurice and Sainte-Catherine. The hike Balad'Azergues, offers a 7,5 km loop on the paths.
