Frankly, it's to discover addresses like these that the Smart team travels through the Great Lyon. In front of a large car park, easy to access from the ring in the direction of the Carré de Soie and the city centre of Caudataires, the 109 is the creation of Chef Michaël Toledo, Lyon white Chef. From the entrance you can see behind the large glass windows an apparent cellar that gives you a good idea. The female welcome is lovely and the room (the rooms in fact), as well as the beautiful shaded inner terrace offer a splendid decor to our gourmet meals. Comfortably installed in beautiful armchairs, design chairs or benches, the chef's cuisine is just a few minutes away from the chef's home. The card changes four times a year, but every day brings beautiful seasonal suggestions made by a chef highlighting the excellence of the products. This summer, a Norwegian salmon smoked with homemade beech wood, famous cuisses frogs'legs as in Dombes, of a of Saint-Jacques nuts in shell emulsion, an excellent tartar in 109 (charolais beef cut to knife, small vegetables and fruit oils served with delicious Cereals fries), the essential Burger of 109 to the mozzarella di buffala or of a of saint walnuts Jacques in shell emulsion. A Surtout chocolate declination with a slide… killing! Perfect food and wine agreements, oyster and seafood bar during the season, piano bar evenings, this address remains at the Palmarès.

BRASSERIE DES LUMIÈRES

If you count, the Brasserie des Lumières must be the seventh brewery Bocuse to open its doors in a special setting, since it is the Stadium of Lights, the new place of OL. Combining the names of Bocuse and Olympique Lyonnais, it was obvious next to which nobody could pass… Yet first returns, including ours, are rather mixed. Rodage period? Maybe, but it's going to have to jump quickly to convince us to get lunch outside the games in a brewery that is struggling to find its brands. If the place is "prestigious", the access is complicated (parking P 4 level -1, then walk to door A and take the elevator up to level 2… you are there.). Large windows open to the exterior, bright room with contemporary decor, refined tables, everything is done to plunge us into the atmosphere of these high-end breweries. Yet, even if the map includes the "classics" of Bocuse breweries - grilled fish fillets from the plancha market, tartars 100% pur, Iberian Fleeced Bellota… -the taste is not really there, the service even less and the quality-price ratio - especially the game nights - can be difficult to swallow. A Brasserie brewery that does not yet play the Champions League and who has to strengthen its team to climb a division.
