Coise, a small village in the heart of the Monts du Lyonnais, is famous for its theatre group founded in 1946, and still very active, and its "fête du pays" which brings together the whole village on various themes since 1958. The paths will lead you to the heights, with an orientation table and a superb panorama as far as the foothills of the Massif Central, towards the chapel of La Salette, also known as the "Chapel of Fear". A family from Coise, who were afraid of losing their son during the conflict against Prussia in 1870, vowed to build a chapel to Notre-Dame de la Salette if their son returned.
