Its history was marked by a man, Jacques Cœur, who exploited silver lead mines. Since ancient times, they have been exploited in Pampailly. In 1388, a deed mentions their sale to Hugues Jossard. Then Jacques Cœur, the great silversmith of Charles VII, acquired them. They then became the most important and most modern in the kingdom of France. Their existence, long ignored by our contemporaries, was rediscovered thanks to the reading of Jacques Cœur's trial. Since 1980, archaeological excavations carried out on the banks of the Cosne stream have revealed the remains of the farm's outbuildings
