This very small village, located on the ancient Roman road linking Lyon to Autun, conceals a marvel of Romanesque art in the Beaujolais. Its 12th century church, Notre-Dame d'Avenas, is worth a visit with its limestone altar and its stained glass windows. A beautiful hike is possible from the Fût d'Avenas (740 m). You can also take the forest path, with signs explaining the fauna, flora, woodland, the fayettes (the fairies of the forest), which starts above the church and leads you to a surprising intermittent fountain. On these heights, it is also possible to practice the trail or the VTT. Quad biking on the forest paths.
