Woods, meadows and rivers stretch around. Saint-Genest-Malifaux is home to some 3,000 inhabitants, as well as granite houses and old renovated farms that give this town, perched at an altitude of 1,000 m, all its charm. Tourist sites include the Font Ria, a sacred spring, the Château du Bois dating from 1583, the Château de Pérusel from 1856, the 15th century church and, more modern, the Jules Verne cultural centre. In the surrounding area, 80 hamlets and localities are scattered here and there. You can take one of the many marked trails to visit the area on foot, mountain bike or horseback.
