In a green landscape spreads out on both sides of the RD1082 and up to the plateau of Guizay this charming village with preserved stone architecture. The origins of the town could date back to the late Middle Ages. The surroundings have kept a rural character with many dairy farms and forests. The writer Charles Exbrayat, who frequented the area, is buried there since his death in 1989. The Gouffre d'Enfer and Pas du Riot dams are not far away. You must visit the belvedere of Guizay for its incomparable view of Saint-Etienne. At night, the lights of this panorama are reminiscent of a Hollywood film.
