Founded in 1908, Maison Couderc is a recipe for success with gentian alcohol, the emblematic plant of the Auvergne mountains. It is the last independent distillery in the Cantal. Its shop offers the house products, in particular the gold-coloured Couderc gentian, but also a very wide range of liqueurs, spirits and wines. Its large bay windows also reveal a beautiful section of delicatessen and good regional products. This is normal, as the owner is an epicurean.

I'd like to tell you about a remarkable, absolutely stunning place! It's an extraordinary place that's been around for a long time. You can find it just about anywhere, but it really captures the taste of our land! This place, unique in the Cantal, is called Maison Couderc!
The story began in 1908 with the first store, now a hundred years old, at 14 Rue Victor Hugo in Aurillac. Here, Louis and then Marie Couderc concocted original recipes for fruit creams and liqueurs from the Auvergne region.
And still today, at what was then called "La Distillerie du Centre", we cultivate a taste for craftsmanship and have been developing specialities based on ancestral know-how for over a century!
