Museum installed in a wing of the castle of Saint-Etienne, a scientific pole focused on volcanism, geology and ecology.

This museum occupies a wing of the Château Saint-Étienne and features rocks, minerals, fossils and naturalized animals. These collections illustrate their diversity through four vast halls: two of them are devoted to the inner workings of the Earth and volcanic phenomena on a global scale, while the other two explore the geological and natural history of the Cantal region through playful, interactive displays such as dioramas, manipulations and game-books.

Le musée se trouve à côté du château St Etienne. Le musée est assez bien documenté et ludique. Au dernier étage, il y a une exposition d'animaux naturalisés de la région.
