The resort-village of Lans-en-Vercors is home to the headquarters of the Vercors Regional Nature Park. For winter sports lovers, it also offers several ski areas. In alpine, two areas, one of which (the Parc de loisirs de l'Aigle) is located in the heart of the village, ideal for beginners and to practice freestyle. The other area, called the Montagnes de Lans, from 1,400 to 1,807 m of altitude, offers 27 accessible runs for 24 km of trails, so you can ski in nature at a very low price. In Nordic skiing, two areas (Val de Lans and Allières) for 50 km of paid trails with departures at 1,020 m and 1,426 m. For skiers and hikers alike, Vertiges des Cimes offers a sensational attraction - 300 m of emptiness under your feet... - and a breathtaking panoramic view of the Alps. Other activities include dog sledding, tobogganing, snowshoeing, winter trails and permanent horseback riding. And as in many family resorts, a welcome drink with tasting on Saturday at 6 pm. Not to be missed in January, the Andros Trophy round on the ice circuit. In summer, Lans is a green village, so close to Grenoble, and already in the heart of the Vercors. An ideal place for tourist stays and also for half-day walks for urbanites in search of fresh air. In short, all year round Lans-en-Vercors is a destination adapted to all - from the youngest to the oldest -, to all budgets and to all sporting desires.
