This departmental history museum aims to help visitors understand the history of the years 1939-1945, based on local facts and experiences, and to promote the values passed on by the men and women who fought against the Nazi occupiers and the French government of Marshal Pétain. The collection of objects, photographs, audiovisual documents and testimonies is highlighted by a modern museography where emotion and reflection meet. Temporary exhibitions.

Closed on January 1st, May 1st and December 25th. Open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 9am to 6pm. Tuesday from 1:30 pm to 6 pm. Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm. Free of charge. Guided tour (1st Sunday of the month at 2:30 pm). Store. Animations.

The Musée de La Résistance et de La Déportation de L'Isère is a history and society museum in Grenoble, initiated by former members of the Resistance, deportees and teachers, to shedlight on the history of the Second World War. A collection of over 8,000 items bears witness to local realities and events . Throughoriginal drawings , numerous photographs, brochures and printed material, you 'll learnmore about what happened during this period. In addition to its rich and varied cultural program , the museum also offers a wide range of educational activities.Over forty temporary exhibitions, open-air screenings and guided tours are organized. Néanmoins, je mets un petit bémol pour l'accueil des visiteurs. Sur deux agents d'accueil, une seule m'a orienté. Et l'agent de sécurité qui assurait les contrôles était aussi aimable qu'une porte de prison. Je ne peux pas dire si la fin de journée commençait à se faire ressentir mais cet accueil m'a un peu questionné.
