CELSIUS CAFÉ

Bar and caf
5/5
1 review

This type of establishment is located in the heart of Grenoble, on the edge of a rue brin and lit by this Celsius café. An Internet cafe, opened more than 10 years ago, where you can find all the services necessary to surf with interesting prices for tight budgets and the help necessary to avoid losing on the network or discovering the mysteries of computer science. The most undeniable thing is that you really feel like being in a coffee and not in a cold cybersalle. A warm and friendly place that even has a terrace where you can naturally connect with Wifi. Among the services offered, you can also make photocopies or print documents, but also, and it's much more original, exchange books free of charge!

BEER SQUARE GRENOBLE

Beer bar
5/5
1 review

Beer, which should always be consumed in moderation, is a drink for sharing, with a festive spirit. And Beer Square understands this. A concept from Lille that has been perfectly adapted to Grenoble, where entertainment and beer go hand in hand. As for the beers, 16 taps with 8 permanent beers (like Bellerose blonde from Brasserie des Sources or Punk IPA from Brewdog) and 8 ephemeral beers. And to make sure you don't drink on an empty stomach, there's finger food with chicken croquettes and home fries. Don't miss the "Tap Take Over" when a brewery takes control of the spouts. Comedy show, Latin dances, music, blind tests, karaoke... Beers and pleasures to discover.

Au Rencard is where the good stories are written. Established over 10 years ago in the beating heart of Grenoble, on the Place des Halles Sainte-Claire, Au Rencard is one of the city's best bars. It's the place to be if you want to feel the pulse of the city and meet up at any time of day. Relaxation and a good atmosphere guaranteed, thanks to a service that puts you in a good mood. At Le Rencard, you're never alone for long, and everyone gets to know each other casually around the counter. Aperitifs can be extended with cocktails and nibbles, but you can also enjoy some of Le Rencard's specialities at lunchtime.

Better than a coffee shop, here's a coffee cat! Modelled on Japanese establishments, Neko Café offers a living space for cats, open to feline-friendly customers. In a bright, comfortable room, the cats decide to whom they will offer their cuddles and purrs. Cats have their own private retreat and, for reasons of hygiene, are not allowed in the kitchen. Neko Café offers a zen atmosphere in which to enjoy a hot or cold drink, chocolates to personalize, coffees, organic teas, detox, non-alcoholic cocktails and Japanese softs. The Café de la Table Ronde, founded in 1739, is one of the oldest cafés in France - second only to the Procope in Paris. A lively historical place, the Café de la Table Ronde is a place where people like to go to drink at wide hours, but also to eat on one of the most beautiful terraces of the city. It is the ideal place to enjoy a good Chartreusito, a mojito with Chartreuse. An address of tradition, lively and unmissable.

FRENCH COFFEE SHOP

Bar and caf
4.3/5
4 reviews

A national franchise, a French Coffee Shop is a bit like a neighborhood bar version 2.0, where people come to drink a more sophisticated coffee than a little black at the counter by connecting to the Internet. As a result, people exchange less, and it's sometimes a sketch to see two people sitting next to each other absorbed by their keyboards rather than talking to each other... That's the way things are, and it's a good thing the French Coffee Shop team is on hand to bring a smile and a friendly atmosphere. Since last year, however, the clientele has changed, and the few encounters you could make here seem more hazardous. There's less desire to share your impressions of a macchiato when it's cold or a milkshake when it's hot on the terrace... It's a pity that this address, despite its interesting concept, has taken a direction that we don't necessarily want to follow.

BARBEROUSSE

Bar and caf
3.8/5

It's the galleon of thirsty young pirates. If you want to frequent this place, beware of claustrophobia. The place resembles a huge, long cellar, obviously without any openings, and it's abundantly frequented by adorable sailors of all stripes. The main thing, though, is that you're never stuck in the bilge with all the good stuff coming out of the well-filled barrels! It's a place where you can drink a wide variety of flavored rums, real planters and a great many shooters: we counted over fifty of them... But by the end, we weren't sure! All aboard, without moderation, for a wonderful evening sailing the waves.

LE CHARDON DORÉ

Coffee shop and tea room

A real bonbonnière all dressed in pink. A Chardon Doré that has been a must for more than 140 years. Of course, the owners have changed, but the Todeschini family took over the torch in 1993, perpetuating the best of the gourmet tradition. If you enjoy the famous Coque de Noix de Grenoble, a house specialty filled with beautiful surprises, and the walnut cake, you must savor the delicious ice cream, comfortably installed on the terrace of the Jardin de Ville or in a cozy room. In the tea room, a collection of pastries for all desires. The pleasure of cakes, while we already want to imagine the summer on the terrace.

LES FRÈRES BERTHOM

Beer bar
3.8/5
4 reviews

«At the beginning was beer»: the tone is given in the 7 th establishment of the open berthom in France - they are a fortnight - and present in Grenoble for over 10 years now, all in a deciduous decoration adorned with logs and sown with high stools. The choice of 8 pressures on the drum (the Pils, but also the Maredsous or the sweet Faro) extends into bottles with a choice to turn the head for many reasons, abbeys (Orval, Saint Bernardus or Chimay), gueups and lambs to cassis or raspberry, not to mention the famous Cuvée of Trolls, Carolus or Chouffe. All to try with moderation of course! The Duvel, unpasteurized and high fermentation, remains the must of this village with beers.

LE HASARD

Le Hasard does things well. An address that has become a happy institution in the heart of the old town, set in a pedestrian square. It's a lively place to meet at the end of the day, for all generations, and in the evening, for sharing. On sunny summer afternoons, the terrace - sheltered in winter - is packed. And in the evening, you can huddle inside with a motley clientele, just like the town itself, to enjoy a good beer from a wide selection of beers from Belgium and elsewhere. Plus: friendly, efficient, impeccable service. An address that is anything but hazardous.

The Shakesbeer devotes Bérulle's place as a strong place for the nocturnal nightlife. With its small terrace of the most pleasant and its warm-hearted-wood-paneled-stone and stone-shaped stone- screen, the English pub has the right idea to import, directly from the Channel, bottles of beers of half a liter that are resold at the price of a normal pinte. Guaranteed tasting and good atmosphere guaranteed to discover these famous beers, but also whiskys or regional Chartreuse.

LE COUCHE-TARD

Pub

Open every evening - Sundays included - until very late, Couche-Tard lives up to its name. This Grenoble pub is a must for all self-respecting students, who will leave their mark on the walls. The atmosphere is always festive, with loud music, 11 beers of all kinds on draught, over 40 cocktails and shots to vary the pleasures. Students love to gather here to party and dance on the almost foolproof wooden tables. We squeeze in a little if possible, gently jostle each other, and warm up. As the evening draws to a close, there's only one thing to look forward to: the next evening. A place for nightlife.

D'ENFER PUB

Whisky bar

The D'Enfer Pub can take you to paradise... This is undoubtedly one of Grenoble's friendliest pubs. A pub with an old-fashioned atmosphere, with darts, table soccer and billiards. But it's the quality of the beer selection and the acoustic rock concerts that make this place so famous. The upstairs is a little low-ceilinged, but you can stay on the first floor to enjoy the warm ambience and share a pint, a terrible pitcher of planteur, cocktails or, better still, a pure malt whisky. It's the ideal place to privatize for a bachelor or bachelorette party. Good soundtrack.
