You can't miss the Lanfiannes when you arrive near the Col des Glières, at an altitude of 1,450 meters, where you can visit the monument dedicated to the Resistance. The chalet is located at the foot of the cross-country ski trails and at the start of the hiking trails. In winter, you must bring the necessary car equipment in case of snow to get there. The restaurant changed owners in 2021 and offers a varied Savoyard-inspired menu, with meat and cheese. Warm welcome. In summer, it is possible to rent the chalet on a self-catering basis.

CHALET DE L'ANGLETTAZ

With a playground, mountain pastures and mountains, the chalet of the Angletaz (of "Anglette" in Savoyard!) is a small place of paradise perched at 1 500 meters above sea level. At the top of the Parmelan (a little more than 1 hour walk from the refuge), the view is panoramic on the three lakes in the region: Lake Annecy, Lake du Bourget and Lake Geneva. You can reach this magnificent chalet, planted on an alpine plateau, hiking or even by car by a non-asphalted road. We then take full advantage of the large air and the scenery. The help, we don't hesitate to sit down to enjoy this beautiful stopover and the friendly welcome and smiling of the team assembled around Pierre Morel. As ambassador of Local Products, Pierre Morel makes the Choice of a Typical Savoyard cuisine composed solely from local products. Therefore, mountain specialities are to be welcomed with the necessary fondue, tartiflette, omelet, diots (from the Boucherie butchery) accompanied by a Polenta Gourmande. All the meats are country and the cheese comes from the fruit… In the evening, the charm of the places gives a special imprint at this altitude cottage. At night, light makes it sifted: the candle matches our trade. Of course, we will not forget to greet cows and donkeys, especially the magnificent mastiff.

CHALET DE L’ANGLETTE

From the Route road, take the direction of the Dit. At the beginning of the forest, a wood sign shows the direction of the chalet of the Anglette, which is reached after 6 km, either by foot or by a forest road that really only suits the 4 X 4, especially in the bad season. A small journey, for a restaurant that is worth it, because the walk is worth it! It is located at 1500 m above sea level, in a large pasture with an exceptional view of the Valley valley, in the middle of cows, 4 pigs and 2 donkeys! This alpine chalet, transformed into an altitude restaurant, is the starting point for nice hikes (about 1 h 30) towards the Lapiaz lapiaz. On the terrace, the service is relaxed, the team is friendly and pleasant. Pierre Morel is very attached to the land, the meats are the country, the diots of the butchery of Villaz, the cheese cheese… In the plate, the kitchen is generous and the dishes of quality. Mountain specialities in honour: fondue, tartiflette, omelet, and an excellent tender. A simplified card. Genuine "home" cuisine of fresh and local products. Very good price!
