Known in Haute-Savoie for its wines, Seyssel has the particularity of growing vines on hillsides on the banks of the Rhône. Two original grape varieties are specific to this terroir: the altesse or roussette and the molette, from which the still wine of Seyssel and the "Seyssel méthode champenoise" are made. The vineyard is both one of the smallest A.O.C. in France and one of the oldest, since the appellation was obtained in 1942. It is necessary to stop at the wine growers or the wine merchants who are pleased to make discover their wine. The country of Seyssel offers a great variety of landscapes and sites of interest to visit
