Between lake and stream, it is the most populated of small common riparian towns in the lake. The Saint-Jorians are very attached to their village, a residential municipality of the left bank, close to Annecy, well equipped, pleasant to live, less than 10 kilometers from Annecy. Vast expanses with diverse landscapes and a preserved natural heritage framework. Inhabited since the Neolithic, it was discovered in 1989 the traces of a lake city with 746 piles on 1,171 m ² and some vestiges of the route of the Roman route leading from Geneva to the Petit-Saint-Bernard Pass. Saint-Jorioz owns the private castle of Villard-Chabot and the Maison Forte de Noiret, a Gothic church, a Laudon country house, a rostrum with a landscaped trail, a large beach and a very active marina. The trail along the rostrums leaves the beach and allows the Laudon River to go up to the Forested forests of Semnoz, in the heart of the Bauges Natural Park. A climb is organized there every year.
